I was looking in the docs for a list of requirements on a local runner. What specs do you recommend for a self hosted runner to make sense? My understanding so far is that your system is based on docker. So, if I had a university cluster that uses docker, could I use this for large scale data extraction tasks? thanks for any hints.

Usually, university HPC clusters do not allow to deploy docker containers but use scheduling systems such as SLURM. We do have SLUM support in Arkindex Enterprise Edition. But you really need to have millions of documents to process to deploy this solution.
